10+ years of educational leadership management experience required (both school principal and central office management desirable) requiredSkills Qualifications:

The Deputy Superintendent serves as a senior executive leader of Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS), reporting directly to the Superintendent. This role provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and instructional direction to ensure the district fulfills its mission of pursuing excellence for all students. The Deputy Superintendent partners with the Superintendent, Board of Education, and senior leaders to advance the district\'s strategic plan, promote organizational coherence, and support schools in achieving high levels of student success. Strategic Leadership Provide strategic counsel and collaborative leadership to the Superintendent and the organization on all matters impacting district performance.Champion a culture of continuous quality improvement by supporting systems that enhance organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and coherence.
Ensure that practices are data informed, equity focused, and designed to strengthen outcomes for students, staff, and the community.
Anticipate and address district needs by monitoring educational trends, policies, and research, ensuring GCPS remains a national model of excellence.
Champion high-quality, equitable, and evidence based instructional practices to ensure student achievement and growth.
Collaborate with divisional leaders to ensure schools are supported with the resources and expertise necessary to meet diverse student needs. Leadership Attributes Visionary leader with a demonstrated commitment to equity and excellence.
