GENERAL JOB SUMMARY
The division of student services contributes to student learning through quality service and support and by promoting student involvement and engagement while meeting the needs of diverse learners. The part-time Student Engagement & Event Management Assistant supports efforts to create a welcoming, connected, and engaging campus experience for students. This position provides hands-on assistance with student engagement activities, events, and promotional efforts across campus and at regional centers. The position supports the implementation and promotion of campus programs, assists departments and event organizers with event logistics and the use of the Platform for Engagement & Activities at Kirkwood (PEAK) system, and contributes to signage, social media, and other communication efforts. The position also provides front desk and student-facing support, helping students navigate campus, learn about clubs and organizations, and connect with engagement opportunities and resources. Through these activities, the position contributes to a positive student experience and supports the broader goals of Student Engagement and Campus Life. The ideal schedule will be Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm with occasional evenings or Fridays. There could be some changes depending on engagement activities.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the implementation of student engagement events and activities by assisting with event setup, check-in, facilitation, cleanup, and post-event evaluation. Provide support for extra
- and co-curricular programming at the Kirkwood Regional Center at the University of Iowa (KRCUI), including hosting or assisting with events approximately two to three times per month.
Assist departments and campus partners with event promotion, logistics, signage, and other needs related to the implementation of events and activities. Support the use and implementation of the Platform for Engagement & Activities at Kirkwood PEAK system for campus events and activities, including assisting departments with event setup, attendance tracking, and related processes. Assist with promotional efforts for Student Engagement and Campus Life programs, including poster and promotional material design, social media content, and other event communications. Provide front desk and student-facing support in Iowa Hall Student Center, including assisting students with campus wayfinding, information about clubs and organizations, events, activities, and available resources. Assist with club and organization support by helping students locate information, resources, and appropriate campus contacts. Serve as a supporting contact for campus events and activities, helping coordinate and provide on-site assistance as needed. Assist with the development, placement, and maintenance of event signage, displays, and promotional materials throughout campus. Support the Student Engagement and Campus Life team with other student engagement, event, and operational needs as assigned. Perform other related work duties as assigned.

You establish and maintain good team working relationships with students, colleagues, staff, administrators, and the public. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION
Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree or junior status and actively working toward a bachelor's degree required. Must have a valid driver's license and own transportation. This position requires a valid driver's license and participation in continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring. Your driving record will be verified initially and monitored on an ongoing basis as a condition of employment. Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects while working with students, faculty and staff, and the community.
