Job Description

The Keokuk Community School District is searching for an exceptional educational leader who believes every student deserves a champion and every educator deserves a supportive partner. As our Middle School Assistant Principal, you'll be a visible leader, a mentor to staff, an advocate for students, and a trusted partner to families. You'll help create an environment where students feel safe, valued, challenged, and inspired to achieve their very best. What You'll Do As Assistant Principal, you'll work alongside the Building Principal to foster a culture where students and staff thrive.
You'll:
Inspire high expectations for academic achievement, positive behavior, and student growth. Support teachers through coaching, collaboration, evaluation, and professional development. Recruit and retain outstanding educators who share a passion for student success. Build meaningful relationships with students, staff, families, and the community. Help create a positive, safe, and welcoming school climate where everyone belongs. Use data to support student achievement and continuous school improvement. Assist with student attendance, scheduling, and daily school operations. Implement district policies with fairness, consistency, and integrity. Connect students and families with the resources they need to succeed. Collaborate with staff to strengthen instruction and improve student outcomes. Serve as a positive ambassador for the school and district. Help lead initiatives that prepare every student for future success.
