SUPERVISOR
Director of the Academic Center
BASIC FUNCTION
Full-time position To provide instructional support service to credit students and students on special schedules
QUALIFICATIONS
Required - Bachelor's Degree Basic computer skills Preferred - Bachelor's Degree with focus in health/science Bilingual in English and Spanish languages. Copies of all academic transcripts are required. Unofficial copies are acceptable at the time of application. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment, a complete set of original transcripts will be required.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
General:
1. Carry out duties without detailed, day-to-day supervision. 2. Provide individualized tutorial and/or small group instruction. 3. Supervise the instruction of students in independent or specially scheduled course work. 4. Assist students in the computer lab. 5. Maintain a positive learning environment. 6. Serve on appropriate committees/teams to carry out the college mission philosophy, goals, and objectives. 7. Take an active part in in-service opportunities appropriate to the area of responsibility. 8. Promote and maintain open communication with other SSS staff, Learning Center staff, NCC campus staff. 9. Demonstrate and practice NCC's mission and vision. 10. Assist and perform other duties as directed. 11. Advising if needed and assigned. July 2026
Student Success Center:
1. Administer, score, and/or interpret results of various assessments. 2. Become certified proctor for specialized testing which includes training and background checks. 3. Proctor tests 4. Provide testing accommodations for students, such as reading exams and recording responses 5. Open/close the library and check out library materials as needed. 6. Provide reference services and support students, faculty, staff, and community members in developing information literacy skills through formal and informal instruction, including group presentations. 7. Oversee student use of Student Success Center spaces to maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment. 8. Train, schedule, and supervise student employees, providing guidance in operations and customer service. 9. Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Student Success Center, including Interlibrary Loan, providing support for instructional activities, student needs, and testing as required. 10. Assist with the development of assessment tools; collect and maintain statistical data for planning and assessment 11. Work closely with faculty and coordinator to align resources with program goals and instructional needs. 12. Maintain inventory of office and supplies and reorder materials as necessary. 13. Be able to work evening hours with a flexible schedule. 14. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of the Academic Center.
TRIO:
1. Assist students with challenges they face at a community college. 2. Arrange and oversee academic, leadership, career, and personal enrichment activities. 3. Travel with students to campus activities, leadership activities, and academic enrichment activities. 4. Serve as a resource for students with non-academic personal concerns and refer students as appropriately. 5. Maintain student, project compliance and performance records. 6. Attend staff, state, regional and/or professional meetings to promote continuous professional growth. 7. Work within the TRIO budget to implement and improve academic enrichment activities on and off campus.
