Idaho Housing and Finance Association is looking for a Housing Counseling Support Specialist to join our team. As a Housing Counseling Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in guiding clients through the housing counseling process. Your responsibilities will include answering client questions, inputting information, and providing support to housing counselors and Homebuyer Education programs, ensuring that clients receive prompt, high-quality service throughout their housing counseling journey. Your organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to customer service will be essential in helping clients navigate the process and achieve their housing goals.
In This Role, You Will:
Serve as the first point of contact for housing counseling clients, answering questions, gathering information, and completing initial intake assessments Enter and maintain client information in CMS, assign counseling files, and coordinate appointments with housing counselors Provide ongoing administrative and customer service support to housing counselors and clients through phone, email, and chat Maintain housing counseling resources, spreadsheets, client files, and documentation to support accurate and compliant program operations Provide support for Online Homebuyer Education programs and cross-train to serve as backup for Homebuyer Education responsibilities Assist with client follow-up, correspondence, clerical duties, and additional housing counseling projects as needed Other job duties as assigned At Idaho Housing and Finance Association, we are dedicated to improving lives and strengthening Idaho communities. Requirements:
Experience in performing administrative functions Housing industry or social service experience a preferred but not mandatory Strong customer service and communication skills Excellent organization and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities Proficiency with computer systems, online platforms, and spreadsheets Bachelors degree desirable
