Description Summary The Student aide is an important member of the Adult Education team, supporting students and staff across our English Language Acquisition (ELA) and High School Equivalency (HSE/GED) programs. The Student aide assists with student services, community outreach, recruitment, testing, events, and general program operations. Duties & Responsibilities Provide welcoming and professional customer service to current and prospective students. Answer telephone calls, take messages, and direct students and callers to appropriate staff. Assist students with general questions and connect them with appropriate Adult Education services and resources. Support community outreach and student recruitment efforts. Assist in the development and distribution of promotional and marketing materials. Assist in the daily upkeep of the department's social media accounts. Perform general administrative and word-processing tasks. Learn and use department computer systems to assist with data entry. Maintain and/or create spreadsheets, reports, and logs as needed. Assist with special projects, research, events, and student activities. Qualifications Applicant must be a current Morton College student carrying 6 credit hours in the Fall and Spring. One credit in the Summer. Good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
