National Honor Society Advisor (High School & Middle School)

PURPOSE:

Organize, implement and oversee National Honor Society activities. Promote academic achievement, community involvement, and leadership in school activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree form an accredited college/university

Current Illinois State Teaching License

Must be a member of building teaching staff

Demonstrates organizational ability and skill in interpersonal relations

Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community

REPORTS TO

Building Principal DUTIES & responsibilities: (The following are the essential fundamentals to include but not limited to the following job duties.) Coordinate and supervise all National Honor Society activities.

Promote a favorable image of the school district. Encourage community partnerships within National Honor Society activities.

Develop a program schedule and outline of activities. Coordinate activities with the school calendar.

Monitor academic records.

All meetings are held outside the student attendance hours.

TERMS:

Salary to be based upon Schedule B of collective negotiation bargaining.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to compare, analyze, communicate, coordinate, instruct, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile, and negotiate. The employee frequently is required to compute. The employee occasionally is required to copy.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
