Curriculum and Instruction Overview:
LGBTQ+ is a support group for students who identify themselves on the LGBTQ continuum. The purpose is to provide an opportunity for students to receive support, in a safe environment, with others that share a similar experience. Research indicates that students that have an opportunity engage in a supportive environment at school show an increased ability to function and connect to the academic experience.
Qualifications:
New Trier faculty member. Preference will be given to applicants who identify as part of the LGBTQ community or have personal experience with or knowledge of the needs of this population.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with co-sponsor to plan and implement group sessions. Group meets during rotating periods on a weekly basis; attendance is mandatory at all meetings.
