Job Description

POSITION DETAILS
The Assistant Principal supports the overall administration of the school serving grades Pre-K - 6, working collaboratively with the principal and staff to promote a safe, positive, and effective learning environment. Responsibilities include supporting instruction, student services, school operations, and family/community engagement. Full-time administrative position (1.00 FTE) Start date: to be determined
Salary:

QUALIFICATIONS
Valid and appropriate Indiana Administrator's License or ability to obtain Master's degree required Minimum of three years of teaching experience One to two years of teacher-leadership experience preferred
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE
Strong instructional background and understanding of best practices Evidence of data use to inform decisions and improve student outcomes Demonstrated ability to work closely with various socioeconomic and/or cultural populations Understanding of, and commitment to, supporting Dual Language Immersion programming and cross-cultural competence among students Experience with MTSS, Special Education, and student support services Experience supporting diverse learners, including English language learners Experience with supervision, staff support, and professional growth Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, families, and community partners Knowledge of current educational research and practices Demonstrated leadership aligned to corporation goals and initiatives
