June 2026 Manchester University is looking for a Success Advisor who thrives on building meaningful relationships and making a real difference in students' lives. As a Success Advisor, you'll serve as a trusted guide and advocate for both incoming and continuing students, using a proactive, case management approach to support academic progress and personal well-being. You'll collaborate closely with faculty and campus partners to deliver personalized, wrap-around support-ensuring students feel seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.
What You'll Do:
Manage a caseload of first-year and continuing students through regular check-ins, advising meetings, and proactive outreach Support students facing academic or personal challenges by developing individualized success plans and connecting them to campus resources Respond to faculty and staff referrals and coordinate wrap-around support services Assist special student populations, including undeclared students, student-athletes, first-generation, and transfer students Monitor student progress using advising technologies and tracking systems Collaborate with faculty and campus partners to promote student self-service tools and college success strategies Participate in orientation programs, campus events, committees, and professional development opportunities
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred Strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student advocacy Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Comfortable using basic computer applications and student support technologies Why Manchester University?
