Days Negotiable The Assistant Athletic Director will work with the Athletic Director to promote education-based athletics and the successful implementation and management of Adams High School Athletic Programs.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Preferred).
Certification/Preferred Licensure:
Valid Indiana Teacher's License (Preferred). Or
Experience:
2 or more years of teaching and/or coaching experience or working in a high school athletic leadership capacity(Preferred).
Knowledge:
Working knowledge of HS athletic programs, scheduling process, IHSAA/NFHS rules and regulations
Essential Responsibilities:
? Be an appropriate role model for student-athletes, coaches and the NPHS community. ? Assist the AD in creating schedules and securing contracts for all home and away Events. ? Provide administrative supervision at home and selected away athletic events. ? Assists with the hiring of officials for all events. ? Assists in arranging transportation for athletic teams. ? Helps to uphold and enforce the Code of Conduct and other policies. ? Knowledge of IHSAA By-laws and active engagement in the IIAAA and NIAAA. ? Flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule including evenings and weekends hours. ? Travel is required ? Assists with advertising and fundraising initiatives within the athletic department. ? Assists with the hiring of coaches and athletic department staff. ? Ability to work in a team environment and should have excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills. ? Assists in the inventory of uniforms, supplies, and equipment. ? Helps to maintain coach certification as well as student-athlete physicals and eligibility. ? Assists in securing event workers for all home athletic events. ? Helps to ensure that all practice and game facilities are in event-ready condition. ? Helps to promote the athletic department via website and social media platforms. ? Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned by Athletic Director or Principal.
