502-597-6576 Hours per Week (Maximum 20): Up to 20 hours per week, based on the student s class schedule, departmental needs, and Federal Work-Study award.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide general administrative and clerical support to Student Support Services staff. Greet students and visitors and direct them to the appropriate staff member or campus resource. Answer telephone calls and assist with routine questions. Schedule student appointments and provide appointment reminders. Assist with preparing materials for workshops, meetings, tutoring sessions, and student activities. Help with student outreach, recruitment, and program-event promotion. Make copies, scan documents, organize files, and maintain office supplies. Assist with data entry, sign-in sheets, surveys, and attendance records. Help set up and clean up rooms for SSS workshops and special events. Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming office environment. Protect the confidentiality of student information and program records. Complete other appropriate duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must be enrolled at Kentucky State University and eligible for Federal Work-Study. Must maintain satisfactory academic progress and remain in good standing with the University. Must demonstrate reliability, punctuality, professionalism, and attention to detail. Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to interact respectfully with students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office technology is preferred. Must be able to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team. Previous customer-service or office experience is preferred but not required.
