Superintendent or DesigneePrimary Job Responsibility:
To assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the best possible curricular and instructional programs and services for the Muhlenberg County School System. To provide coordination and leadership in the administration of the district's federal and state instructional grants.Essential Functions of Job Responsibility:
Curriculum, Instruction and assessment Implements all rules and regulations, policies and administrative guidelines as adopted by the Board of Education. Coordinates and directs the alignment of curriculum, instruction, assessment and federal programs with state and national standards. Maintains communication and works closely with principals and district staff to implement curriculum, instruction, assessment and federal programs. Communicates with the Superintendent on matters related to curriculum, instruction, assessment and federal programs. Meets periodically with instructional staff to resolve issues, communicate new developments, evaluate programs and assure that objectives are accomplished. Professional Development Coordinator. Assures that the Extended School Services Program conforms to state guidelines, district policies and goals. Coordinates, and directs the development and implementation of the District Comprehensive Improvement Plan. Serves as Title VI Coordinator. Plans and organizes annual training workshops for SBDM council members. Serves as a trainer of SBDM council members. Informs principals and other administrators of SBDM laws and regulations.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

240 days. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.EVALUATION
