Job Summary:
The School Student Support Coordinator promotes the success of all Creative Learners by facilitating the development of academic and assessment systems that promote acceleration, student supports, and promote teaching and learning that reflects the mission of Academic Excellence with an Artistic Edge. The School Student Support Coordinator provides instructional and administrative leadership at the school site over assessments, student needs identification, progress monitoring, interventionists, and necessary students/staff. This position provides support to the school and Principal by managing the Multi-tiered System of Support (MTSS), formerly known as the Response to Intervention (RTI) program. The

Coordinator will ensure that all staff and parents understand the purpose and use of the MTSS system, and that all students are identified and receive the appropriate MTSS interventions, services, and support. The

Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring that all state and federal regulations are adhered to, and that the school's MTSS program is efficient and effective for all stakeholders.
Position Responsibilities:
School-wide MTSS and ELL Program Leadership Refines and implements MTSS and ELL systems within the school to ensure alignment to YACS Network Frameworks and positive student outcomes Manages systems to track school-wide data including: Universal Screening, diagnostic, intervention, benchmark, interim, and state-wide testing data Facilitate the grouping process for Intervention Blocks and determine the priority standards, instructional materials, and routines based on triangulation of data for MTSS and ELL Supports SAT meetings and leads when needed that are in compliance with Network

Procedures Plans and facilitates professional development for staff to review data for universal screeners, interventions, and progress monitoring assessments throughout the year Manages systems to invest staff, students, and parents in data and ensures all action-plans are data driven Monitors the quality of MTSS data collection and intervenes for support when needed (modeling, co-teaching, extra coaching, etc.) Monitors student progress according to the MTSS calendar and makes necessary data-driven adjustments between tiers Work with teachers and administrators to develop and use appropriate ELL literacy strategies, implementation plans, and systems of accountability Progress monitor ELLs and create strategic plans based on individual student and school goals Ensure teachers have materials needed, preview and recommend resources that will promote success of all ELLs.

programming through a consistent observation & feedback cycle Coach teachers to apply most effective teaching tools, skills and attitudes to increase student engagement to support a standards based learning environment for ELs to increase academic achievement across the content areas. Facilitate the integration of ESL teaching strategies in all regular education activities, with a priority on strategies and materials aligned with state standards and ELDs Section 504 Coordinator Maintains knowledge and understanding of current Federal and State guidelines policies and procedures under Section 504 Develops and updates Section 504 forms to meet the Federal and State laws Determines eligibility for services under Section 504 by meeting with an interdisciplinary team and reviewing evaluative data by physicians or educational diagnosticians Notifies parent(s) and relevant staff for Section 504 meetings Develops accommodation plans in coordination with the team to facilitate student success Ensures Individual Accommodations Plans (IAPs) are used with fidelity for all 504 students throughout the year Collaborates with the School Principal, Special Education Coordinator, etc. to refer students to Special Education or 504 Plans if needed To Begin… Complete LER certification certificate on the portal
