Aug 24, 2026 Job Description The Amherst-Pelham Regional School District is currently seeking highly qualified candidates for the full time position of Special Education Team Leader (ETL) for the Amherst Regional High School. The ETL will chair both IEP and 504 meetings. Responsibilities Serve as chairperson of
IEP & 504
Team meetings Complete mandatory documentation paperwork from Team meeting Development/writing/review of Individualized Educational Plans & 504s Regular communication and collaboration with staff /administration involved in the Team process Collaborate with the special education liaisons and families to develop consents for special education evaluations based on the individual case Collaborate with general education teachers and guidance counselors to develop consents for 504 evaluations Collaborate with personnel in the middle school to help develop projections and plans for students Knowledge and experience with transition planning Engage and partner with families involved in the IEP and 504 Team process Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with high school departments- i.e. special education, guidance, academic departments Routine collaboration with Special Education support staff Maintain routine contact with the Student Services Office and attend districtwide and secondary ETL meetings Attend district-wide trainings and Special Education department meetings Qualifications Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Special Education certification Experience developing Individualized Educational Plans & 504s Experience with culturally diverse populations Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Prior experience working with secondary students is desirable Excellent communication and organizational skills Demonstrated experience working with and implementing the special education evaluation process, parents' rights, and current 504 and special education law and regulations
