SALARY:
$27.30 per hour, non-benefited position. At this time, the College is not providing sponsorships for Visas.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
The Part-Time Staff Assistant provides operational and customer service support for Corporate and Professional Education programs. This position is responsible for accurate data entry, student registration processing, maintaining records in college systems, and serving as a primary point of contact for students, instructors, and community members. The Staff Assistant ensures the efficient daily operation of the office by supporting enrollment functions, responding to inquiries, and assisting with program administration. This position is fully in-person.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide exceptional customer service to students, instructors, and community members in person, by phone, and via email. Process student registrations, enrollments, withdrawals, and related transactions accurately and timely. Perform daily data entry and maintain accurate records in Banner and other college systems. Update student, course, instructor, and program information in registration databases and electronic records. Respond to inquiries regarding courses, registrations, schedules, payments, and program information. Monitor and manage incoming emails, voicemail messages, and customer requests, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution. Process enrollment-related documentation and ensure records are complete and accurate. Assist with payment processing and reconciliation in accordance with college procedures. Prepare and distribute course communications, reminders, confirmations, evaluations, certificates, and other program materials. Support instructors by providing classroom materials, enrollment information, and administrative assistance as needed. Assist with course setup, scheduling support, and routine office operations. Maintain confidentiality of student and employee information and comply with all college policies and procedures. Perform other operational and customer service duties as assigned.
Reports to:
Director of Corporate and Professional Education or designated administrator within Corporate and Professional Education.
Job Requirements:
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Two years of experience in customer service, administrative support, data entry, or a related field Strong data entry and database management skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience with Banner or a similar student information system preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Gmail and Google Docs, Word and Excel. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to work successfully with diverse populations. Bilingual skills are a plus. Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or National background check as a condition of employment.
