JOB DUTIES
Reports directly to the Superintendent Supports and facilitates all areas of work that flow through the Office of the Superintendent, such as but not limited to: Creates purchase orders and prepares invoices Support with all staff contract negotiations at the direction of the Superintendent Create the School Calendar Annually Assists in updating Administrative Procedures/Policies Supports and facilitates the work of the School Committee relating to daily matters and Communicate and handle incoming and outgoing electronic communications onbehalf of the Superintendent and School Committee Prepares meeting agendas, agenda packets for posting, attends school committee meetings, takes accurate meeting minutes, and records votes at the regularly scheduled school committee meetings, handles public information requests, and provides administrative support to the committee and the Superintendent Assist in updating School Committee Policies Provide office and clerical support to assist with the efficient operation of the school district by working closely with staff and administration Maintain updates with the Department of Education (D.E.S.E.) as needed Any other duties as assigned by the
Superintendent SKILLS:
Excellent calendar management skills, including: Schedule travel, appointments, and assemble materials for meetings. Be able to coordinate complex meetings with both internal and outsidestakeholders Strong knowledge of Google Education, MS Office, including Word and Excel. Experience handling high-stress work environments Strong interpersonal skills; able to work effectively through conflict and de-escalate individuals Must be passionate about working with children and families Must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, have great time management, typing, and filing skills, and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting various/diverse people and programs. Expert-level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability, and attention to detail with the ability to keep thorough and precise records, basic computer skills, and the ability to type rapidly. Handle confidential documents, ensuring they remain secure
PREFER:
Support experience in a professional services environment Experience as a secretary or administrative assistant Experience working in a confidential environment Bilingual Experience successfully creating and/or improving workflow processes Creative, innovative talents to continuously improve workflow and outputs Bachelor's degree preferred or high school diploma (or equivalent), work ethic, and experience considered

12 Month - Unaffiliated position
SALARY RANGE
