Job Description
Do you take pride in being persuasive while being caring and passionate about helping others succeed? The Student Success Advisor is responsible for providing a welcoming environment for students and maintaining effective communication. Through regular contact with students, the Student Success Advisor will assess student needs, goals, interests, and academic experience. The Student Success Advisor is responsible for student coaching and various administrative and compliance tasks.
Essential Functions:
Perform student check-ins Present a clear understanding of the policies and procedures and assist students with their requests. Provide academic advising to students Monitor and encourage student retention Responsible for clear and consistent documentation of all communication with students New Student Orientation. Other duties as assigned (i.e. maintain goals as developed by Supervisor).Education and Certification:
High school diplomas/GED or equivalent. College degree preferred. 1-2 years of higher education student interaction. 2-4 years of upper level administrative assistance.Essential Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a diverse population Time management and organizational skills Detail oriented Extraordinary interpersonal and follow up skills The ability to work under pressure Goal driven and results oriented Outstanding customer service and retention skills A positive attitude and the ability to adapt to change Ability to maintain professional boundaries with students Intermediate computer and database skills Confidentiality a MUST!Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
