Job Description
Monmouth Memorial School (grades PK-8) is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Principal to join our team. We seek a candidate who has demonstrated a commitment to leading a talented, student-centered, and mission-driven staff and prioritizing academic excellence. Key Responsibilities Serve as Principal supporting elementary and middle school students and staff Foster a positive school climate and culture through a visible, energetic presence throughout the building Manage school systems and day-to-day operations that contribute to an effective educational experience Collaborate with teachers to ensure seamless educational experiences across grade levels The Ideal Candidate Demonstrates strong instructional leadership and student management skills, with a deep knowledge of teaching, learning, curriculum, and assessment Has shown success engaging and inspiring a school community to achieve high levels of academic proficiency Holds high expectations for student and staff learning Possesses strong organizational skills, careful attention to detail, and follow-through Fosters a positive school climate and culture Is visible and energetic, with a genuine passion for working with children Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with students, families, staff, and the community, and communicates effectively with all stakeholders Manages student behavior effectively and fairly, creating a positive and safe learning environment Demonstrates appreciation for and sensitivity to diversity among individuals Embraces the unique opportunity of working across educational levels in our connected school community Possesses deep understanding of MTSS frameworks and implementation strategies Qualifications Master's degree Must hold (or be eligible to hold) the required certification - 040 Principal Minimum of five years as a teacher and five years of administrative experience Must hold current Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) Excellent communication and organizational skills Extensive understanding of school leadership, supervision, and evaluation A passion for working with elementary and middle school students and supporting their growth Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
