$65,000 � $90,000 / year (Commensurate with experience) Position Summary The Assistant Principal serves as a vital member of the school leadership team, providing day-to-day operational, administrative, and instructional support. This role focuses on enforcing school policies, coordinating student activities, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment, and directly supporting the Principal in achieving academic goals.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Student Culture & Discipline Uphold the student code of conduct fairly and consistently. Manage student behavioral interventions , discipline referrals, and parental communications. Supervise common areas including arrivals, departures, lunch periods, and extracurricular programs to maintain a safe campus. Coordinate support systems like the Intervention Assistance Team (IAT) and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. Instructional Leadership & Staff Support Conduct teacher observations and provide constructive feedback to improve instructional quality. Assist in the design and delivery of professional development programs for certified staff. Facilitate classroom coverage and coordinate substitute schedules during teacher absences. Analyze student data and standardized test results to guide instructional modifications. Operations & School Management Assist with creating the master schedule , ensuring equitable workload distributions. Manage assigned school budgets and evaluate compliance with federal, state, and local educational regulations. Oversee crisis management planning , emergency preparedness drills, and response procedures. Address school leadership needs and step in as the acting administrator during the principal's absence. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Educational Leadership, School Administration, or a closely related field. Valid State Administrator Certificate Minimum of 3�5 years of successful classroom teaching experience. Clear background check with a record free of criminal violations prohibiting public school employment. Proven track record of implementing data-driven strategies to close achievement gaps.
