QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience as a Special Education instructor. A valid Michigan teaching certificate in Special Education. State of Michigan Special Education Administrators Certification preferred.
PERFORMANCE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Understands and implements the terms of the Master Contracts. Interprets and implements Beecher Board of Education policies, administrative rules, and regulations relating to the Beecher School system. Assists in identifying Special Education staff needs, recruiting, screening, recommending, training, assigning, and evaluating of the assigned school's instructional staff. Formulates and implements plans to provide instructional leadership for staff members in developing and improving their individual professional competency. Conducts meetings of the staff as necessary for the proper functioning of the school. Assists in the preparation of the program budget and monitors expenditures. The preparation of necessary records, reports, requisitions, supply orders and all other paper work required or appropriate to the school's administration. Directs the Special Education program including Child Find procedures. Develops scope and sequences in Special Education guidelines from early elementary thru high school. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may, from time to time, be assigned by the Superintendent.
REQUIREMENTS
Newly hired employees must satisfactorily pass: Reference checks. Police clearance including digital fingerprinting.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

ANNUAL SALARY
$40,000 - $42,000.00 - No fringe benefits.
