Job Description
Summary We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to oversee and enhance our athletic programs at the Reed City Area Public Schools. This part-time position requires a passionate leader who can foster a positive environment for student-athletes, coaches, and staff while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in athletics, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage athletic programs and activities in alignment with the organization's mission and goals. Coordinate scheduling for practices, games, and events, ensuring efficient use of facilities and resources. Recruit, train, and evaluate coaches and staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development. Monitor student-athlete academic performance and eligibility, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies. Collaborate with school administration, parents, and community members to promote athletic programs and foster community engagement. Organize and oversee fundraising efforts to support athletic initiatives and enhance program resources. Maintain accurate records of athletic participation, budgets, and program evaluations. Promote a positive culture of sportsmanship and teamwork among student-athletes, coaches, and parents. Attend meetings, conferences, and workshops to stay current on trends and best practices in athletics. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in athletic administration, coaching, or related roles. Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with diverse groups. Knowledge of current trends and regulations in high school athletics. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
