Job Description

Nature of Work Supports student success through holistically engaging each student and connecting them with the necessary services and information through a case management approach. Will provide a welcoming and supportive, atmosphere for students, their families, and staff. This may include, but not be limited to, answering questions (in person, telephone, email, and social media), assisting with finances, providing academic information, directing to services (counseling, career, ADA, tutoring, retentions specialist, Deans, advisors), providing information relative to financial aid and the TRIO program.
Examples of Work Performed Essential Duties:
1. Utilize multiple methods of communication (e.g., email, phone, and in-person meetings) to engage with CSC students, and to provide accurate and timely information and coaching support to students from initial enrollment through successful completion of programs, including but not limited to: housing, orientation, new student requirements, funding resources and financial aid, program requirements, registration, enrollment, payment processes, disability resources , ongoing success, retention, and graduation. 2. Maintain a case load of students, and use the customer relationship management system (CRM) of Eagles360 to track and monitor both engagements and ongoing progress and success of their students. Use the degree audit, academic planner, Stellic and Peoplesoft, to create pathways for persistence, progression, and timely graduation. 3. Develop and implement highly proactive outreach services to their students, with particular attention to retention and student success. Provide students with holistic support by working with them to co-develop success plans, and empowering them to understand their own degree requirements so that they can become advocates for themselves. Analyze students' academic and personal issues and refer students to the appropriate campus resource office. 4. Create and implement training, enrichment, and personal development for participants by developing and implementing learning enhancement activities. Maintain current records on all program services, evaluate all activities and prepare written reports. Plan and conduct student success workshops and activities. 5. Support student retention and graduation initiatives. Identify and help to resolve barriers that impede academic success. 6. Monitor student progress and performance, analyze problem areas, determine solutions, and conduct intervention activities for students when needed. 7. Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities to function autonomously as an Academic Success Coach (ASC) for relevant college departments and/or student populations. Reinforce the value of coaching through ongoing student relationships. 8. Meet the productivity and goal expectations set by the unit and the college. 9. Create, and implement training, enrichment, and personal development programs for participants. 10. Assist the Project Director to develop and implement an effective process for identification, recruitment, and retention of participants into the program. 11. At the direction of the Director, serve as the appointed representative to assigned academic departments, and engage in performing related duties associated with college-level retention, progression, graduation, and overall student success. 12. Implement strategies, in partnership with the college, to increase registration and enrollment, promote timely graduation, and meet established outcomes 13. Assist leadership with developing and coordinating college-based outreach, orientation, and ongoing engagement programming in partnership with the academic departments. 14. Other duties as assigned, to include completing initial and ongoing training and participate in professional development programs.
Secondary Duties:
1. Assist with the TRiO/SSS Annual Performance Report 2. Provide ongoing training and information to CSC Faculty and Staff regarding the program. 3. Represent Student Support Services on College wide committees. 4.Other duties as assigned by the Project Director. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or related work experience. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree Knowledge of teaching, training, counseling, management, and college advisement Experience working with at-risk populations Experience in implementation of programs for at risk students License and Certification Requirements None Other Requirements Successful background records check Valid driver's license Satisfactory evaluation of driving record
Salary Information:
$ 37,523-$47,109 This position has assigned work dates from September 1, 2025 to July 4, 2026 and August 1, 2026 to August 31, 2026.
