THE ROLE LEAD
Charter School seeks an exceptional School Office Associate to join our mission-driven community. The school clerk plays a vital role in maintaining seamless and efficient operations across all sites. Working closely with the Operations team and other staff members, this role ensures processes are effective, organized, and aligned with the school's needs.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's Degree Required Relevant professional experience, ideally in a school setting, school operations, or a related field with at least three years of experience as a school clerk Experience with project planning and managing complex tasks is preferred. Prior experience working in schools and/or urban communities is highly desirable. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms), and database systems. Robust understanding of PowerSchool or similar student information systems. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and community members.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Front Office Administration Manage the school's front office, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment for visitors, parents, and staff. Greet and assist visitors, answer phone calls, and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel. Monitor and maintain office supplies and equipment to ensure smooth operations. Manage procurement processes, including ordering, tracking and maintaining an inventory of supplies and resources. Ensure all procurement and administrative activities adhere to school policies and state regulations, maintaining transparency and accountability. Attendance Management Track and document student attendance using the school's student information system. Prepare detailed attendance reports for administrators and district officials. Act as the primary point of contact for attendance-related inquiries from teachers, parents, and students. Communicate attendance policies, procedures, and concerns effectively with parents. Collaborate with teachers and staff to address attendance issues and implement strategies to improve attendance. Student Records Management Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential student records in compliance with state and district regulations. Support student recruitment efforts, including outreach and data tracking. Support the onboarding process for new students, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate. Administrative Support Provide general administrative assistance, including preparing documents, managing schedules, and organizing files. Assist with event coordination, meeting preparation, and other operational tasks as needed. Collaboration and Communication Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to support a positive and productive school environment. Address operational and administrative needs promptly and efficiently. Take on additional responsibilities and special projects to support school operations as needed.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
12-month employee. Salary to be recommended by the LEAD's Management Team and approved by the Board.
EVALUATION
Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board's policy on evaluation.
