The Director oversees all sports teams, hires and coaches staff, manages budgets, schedules, and facilities, and ensures compliance with league and state regulations. This role builds a strong, inclusive sports culture, partners with families and community, and uses data to drive program improvement. Responsibilities Lead and manage all high school athletic programs and teams Hire, onboard, and coach athletic staff and coaches Develop and manage athletic department budgets and resources Oversee scheduling of practices, games, transportation, and facilities Ensure compliance with league, district, and state athletic regulations Promote academic achievement and character development for student-athletes Foster an inclusive, equity-focused sports culture aligned to school mission Engage and communicate regularly with families and community partners Monitor safety, risk management, and emergency preparedness for athletics Use data to evaluate program outcomes and drive continuous improvement Required Skills Athletic program management Budgeting and resource allocation Staff hiring and supervision Scheduling and logistics Regulatory compliance (state & league) Student-athlete development Data-driven program evaluation Family and community engagement Conflict resolution Safety and risk management
