POSITION FUNCTION SUMMARY

Act as the liaison between the school district and stakeholders involved in the provision of special education services. Representing the campus LEA, you will ensure compliance with legal requirements, support the development of individualized education plans (IEPs), and facilitate communication among educators, parents, and external service providers. The ability to communicate through multiple communication channels is essential. Education and Experience

Required 1. Master's Degree from an accredited college 2. Valid New Mexico license to practice in school administration. 3. Experience as a Director of Special Education preferred 4. Three years experience as a School Administrator or Special Education Director 5. Knowledge of New Mexico Standards for Special Education. 6. Knowledge of NMAC Code and IDEA law. 7. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. 8. Experience in developing and implementing individualized education for individuals with disabilities and superior abilities. 9. Experience with IEP Facilitation and as
