Job Goal:
Assist the Executive Director of Athletics in the administration of the high school athletic and the middle school athletic programs. Working under very limited supervision following school district policies and procedures; high-level decision-making. Minimum Qualifications 1. Master's degree from an accredited college or university 2. Five years teaching and coaching experience 3. Valid New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) PK - 12 Administrative License 4. Valid New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) Teaching License 5. Administrative experience in an educational setting preferred 6. Knowledge and experience with NMAA Eligibility rules, regulations, and guidelines 7. Knowledge of Title IX and regulations 8. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid New Mexico Driver's License, reliable transportation and current auto insurance with minimum liability coverage Job Duties 1. Implement and monitor Board policy and regulations of the school district and the New Mexico Activities Association. 2. Coordinate the athletic program between the mid schools and high schools. 3. Work with administration, athletic coordinators, and coaches to develop accountability within the school system. 4. Assure that school district personnel have followed proper procedures in allowing a student to participate in our programs. 5. Attend athletic events throughout the year. 6. Assure that every player and coach is aware of the "Code of Ethics". 7. Assist in the evaluation of athletic facilities and make recommendations for improvement of facilities. 8. Comply with local, state and federal rules and regulations. 9. Supervise and evaluate assigned employees.
