Upward Bound Office Assistant Los Lunas, NM, United States | req37956 Apply Now Share Save Job Posted on: 9/17/2026 Back to Search Requisition ID req37956 Working Title Upward Bound Office Assistant Pay $15.00 Hourly Campus Valencia Department Valencia Branch Employment Type Student Employment Student Type Work-Study Status Non-Exempt Background Check Required For Best Consideration Date 10/2/2026 Position Summary Position Description The UNM Valencia Upward Bound Program provides academic based after school and summer programs for qualified students who attend high school in Valencia County at Los Lunas High School, Valencia High School, or Belen High School. This federally funded program that provides tutoring for first generation (college) and income eligible students who intend to graduate from college with a Bachelor's Degree. Performs a variety of office support and clerical duties for the Upward Bound Program. Performs a wide variety of assignments, some of which are confidential in nature. Accepts, screens, and routes telephone calls; maintains communication log. Operates personal computer to enter data, draft, edit, revise and print letters, reports, lists, and other materials. Establishes maintains, processes and updates files, records and other documents. Runs various routine errands as needed by the Program. This is a grant funded position that ends 08/31/2027 and will be renewed annually based on availability of federal funding. Minimum Qualifications Preferred Qualifications List the preferred qualifications: Available to work Saturdays Computer knowledge and skills Good Communication skills Prior experience working with high school students in an academic setting.
