The Principal will be responsible for implementing & coordinating the instructional program for their assigned school. This charge is to be accomplished by working cooperatively with CCSD Directors, Coordinators, other principals, teachers, parents and instructional assistants. The Principal will share in the development, application and enforcement of school and administrative policiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support district and school efforts to keep CCSD safe and secure.
- Demonstrate foresight, examine issues and take initiative to improve the quality of education in the school community.

- Complete and implement 90-day plan inclusive of data and maintain updates as required.
- Supervise and support assistant principals and office staff.
- Plan for and manage the resource for which she/he is responsible including personnel, finances, facilities, programs and time.
- Provide supervision, staff development and performance evaluations.
- Maintain a familiarity with current educational issues through a process of ongoing professional development.
- Meet the administrator's competencies and indicators of the District's evaluation criteria.
- Work productively with district departments, administrators, supervisors, staff, students, parents and community members.
- Confer with students, parents, teachers, law enforcement officers, and representatives of social welfare agencies to resolve serious student academic, attendance, and behavior problems.
- Demonstrate adherence to established time lines and procedures.
- Work in cooperation with assigned mentoring administrators.
- Recruit and recommend school staff with assistance from Human Resources following district procedures.
- Implement recruiting and retention practices.
- Orient new staff, students and parents to school processes.
- Establish and maintain a positive relationship with the local school community to foster understanding and support the overall school program.
- Implement the CCSD approved curriculum.
- Implement the CCSD student assessment plans
- Use data to drive improvement in all areas.
- Implement and attend effective and consistent Professional Learning Communities
- Maintain the school handbook and insure that all assigned employees are accountable for CCSD and school policies.
- Maintain records and implement the usage of funds provided by Title I Grant
- Prepare, oversee and maintain school budget.
- Keep all stakeholders informed of school activities and problems.
- Comply with all Board of Education policies, administrative regulations, and Public Education Department guidelines, local, state and federal laws.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree or above in educational administration
- New Mexico PreK-12
Administrative License Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Dinè language, culture and history preferred
- Teaching experience in public schools
- Prior administrative experience preferred
- The ability to handle fast-paced environments and multi-task under pressure
- The ability to remain calm and respond professionally in stressful situation

The Assistant Coach must demonstrate leadership in player and staff development, integrity, sportsmanship and character development. Qualified candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills. They must demonstrate exceptional skills and strategies of their sport as it pertains to the policies of New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA).Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing a written team rules which includes a philosophy statement and discusses acceptable player behavior, practice procedures, substance abuse policies and other guidelines that relate to program management. Conduct a pre-season meeting with parents and players to share these policies and procedures.
- Have a thorough knowledge of all District and the NMAA Policies and be responsible for their implementation.
- Continue professional growth by attending classes, clinics, workshops, and affiliations with professional organizations.
- Conduct oneself as a positive role model.
- Assist the head coach in implementing all team rules.
- Turn in team rosters as directed to the head coach.
- Report all rule violations or suspected violations to the head coach.
- Consult with the Head Coach, or his/her designee, in matters of purchasing equipment, scheduling, and coaching assignments.
- Work to develop a positive athlete-teacher relationship.
- Coaches must ensure that all athletes participating in their sport are academically eligible. This includes checking grades before the start of the season and during the season as well. Every student athlete must remain eligible according to NMAA policies.
- Assist in implementing a sport specific safety plan. This includes a hazards free practice environment. If something needs to be fixed, place a district work order to fix that problem immediately and report it to your head coach or Regional Activities Coordinator.
- Be responsible for the collection of equipment and have athletic fines resolved by the end of the season.
- Prepare travel rosters and itineraries prior to the 24 hours of departure.
- Remain at practice or contest until all athletes have left the athletic area.
- Inspect the locker room with the visiting coach before and after the contest.
- A Staff member must ride the team bus to and from practices or contests.
- Require appropriate behavior on road trips by supervising students in motels and restaurants.
- Promote and encourage fair play, good sportsmanship, and ethical standards of conduct both on and off the field.
- Forewarn all participants that involvement in physical confrontation could result in removal from the game and /or suspension from subsequent games.
- Maintain a yearly inventory of all new and used equipment.
- Comply with all Board of Education policies, administrative regulations, Public Education Department guidelines and local/state/federal laws and the NMAA.
- Coaches are required to upload athlete rosters into the NMAA approved database.
- Perform additional job responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
- By his/her presence at all practices, games and while traveling, provides assistance, guidance and safeguards for each participant.
- Initiates programs and policies concerning injuries, medical attention and emergencies.
- Completes reports of all disabling athletic injuries on proper forms and submits to the athletic office within 24 hours. Directs student managers, assistants and statisticians.
- Determines discipline, delineates procedures concerning due process when the enforcement of discipline is necessary and contacts parents when a student is dropped or becomes ineligible.
