Role Definition:

The School Aide Staff position is an hourly (non-exempt) position reporting to the Assistant Principal/School Sustainability Manager. The School Aide Staff person performs a variety of activities to ensure the school runs effectively for the students, teachers, Administration, and staff on a daily basis. The role also supports overall school goals and objectives as determined by the Principal.

Primary Responsibilities:

Breakfast preparation (warming up, not cooking), distribution of food, supervision of students, and cleanup. Lunch preparation (warming up, not cooking), distribution of food, supervision of students, and cleanup. Health Office maintenance and stocking for supplies including following reordering procedures. Working with staff and Counselor to ensure a safe process is followed through the health office when student needs arise. Front Office Assistance including answering phones, greeting guests, making copies, filing, and general organization. Helping with student arrival and dismissal as needed - including checking technology in and out of the building. Hours are Monday-Friday, 6:45am - 11:45am excluding school breaks and holidays.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Background check including fingerprints with acceptable Certificate of Clearance. Shows commitment to the mission and vision of our school. Demonstrates passion for supporting at risk students in opening up to their full potential. Demonstrates good judgment; approachable and professional; solid problem-solving skills; self-motivated; well organized.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual - English/Spanish. Salary $12 - $13 per hour
