Job Description The Caledonia-Mumford Central School District is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Elementary Assistant Principal to join our leadership team. This is an 12-month position, reporting directly to the Elementary Principal. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for fostering a positive school culture, supporting instructional excellence, and ensuring the academic and social-emotional growth of all students. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Assisting the Principal in the day-to-day management of the school. Supporting teachers and staff in delivering high-quality, standards-based instruction. Leading initiatives to promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Overseeing student discipline, attendance, and behavior support programs. Collaborating with families, staff, and community partners to strengthen student success. Supporting professional development for staff. Job Qualifications New York State School Building Leader (SBL) or School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS) certification required. Successful teaching and/or leadership experience at the elementary level preferred. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
