Professional Position Summary:
The successful candidate will coordinate accommodation services, conduct student intake appointments, review disability documentation, and determine reasonable accommodations. This role will oversee assistive technology and alternative format services and collaborate on campus-wide digital accessibility initiatives. Additional responsibilities include providing training to faculty, staff, and students on accessibility-related technologies and practices; supporting universal design efforts across the campus community; serving as the primary point person of the Accommodate system and maintaining accurate records; and supervising student employees who support accessibility and accommodation operations. The Accessibility Resources Office ( ARO ) works with all students on campus who identify as having a disability providing equal access for students to have equitable opportunities during their time at college. We are part of the Enrollment and Student Success division which supports a student's entire collegiate experience from the point of admission through to graduation. We partner with students, faculty and staff to provide a network of opportunities and services that lead to student success. Collectively, the division of Enrollment and Student Success positively influences the health, safety and well-being of the student body.
