Job Description

The Western Buckeye Educational Service Center is seeking qualified applicants for the position ofIntervention Specialist. This position will provide instructional and special education support across schooldistricts and Western Buckeye programs in Paulding and Van Wert Counties filling short and long term needswhile supporting students with disabilities, collaborating with school teams, and helping ensure continuity ofhigh-quality services.

The Intervention Specialist provides specialized instruction to students with disabilities by developing andimplementing individualized education programs (IEPs), adapting curriculum, and using a variety ofinstructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs. The role includes maintaining student progress data,collaborating with teachers and families, and ensuring compliance with state and federal special educationrequirements.

Responsibilities also include creating a positive learning environment, supporting student academic andbehavioral growth, and maintaining required documentation and communication. Candidates should holdappropriate Ohio licensure and demonstrate strong communication, organization, collaboration, and classroommanagement skills, along with the ability to support diverse learners effectively.
