All job offers are contingent upon Human Resources final approval This recruitment will be used to fill four (4) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Proctor for the Disability Access Services at Oregon State University (OSU). Testing Proctors at Disability Access Services (DAS) administer exams to DAS students in a professional manner. A proctor monitors the testing center environment to ensure academic integrity and facilitate exam instructions by the course instructor.

Position Duties:

Demonstrate high level of compliance to DAS Testing Center policies and procedures. Maintain cheerful and welcoming environment. Facilitate administration of exam per faculty instructions. Validate student ID prior to each exam. Implement assistive technology as needed. Willingness to assist students as a 1:1 scribe or reader as needed. Monitor the testing center environment, identifying potential academic integrity issues. Perform sanitizing of testing spaces, high touch areas, locker keys and pens. Facilitate delivery of completed exams on campus, as needed. Maintain up to date availability and demonstrate ability to be on time and ready for each scheduled shift.   • International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services ( USCIS ).

A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services ( OIS ), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

Required Qualifications:

Have availability to proctor during finals week. Must maintain 2.5 GPA and have no prior academic violations.

Working Conditions/Schedule:
  • Testing proctors are required to work an average of 3-10 hours per week and are eligible for 24 hours of work per week. (Work Study students may work a maximum of 20 hours per week.)
  • Work hours range Monday-Thursday 7:45am-10pm, and Friday 7:45am-5pm.
  • Proctors are expected to work during Finals week. Proctor shifts may be between 7:15am-11pm, Monday-Thursday, and Friday 7:15am-5pm. Proctors are generally scheduled 18-24 hrs. during finals.
  • Have availability to proctor during finals week.
