Position open until filled. Applicant screening begins April 10th. The Athletic Director works with administration, coaches, and league officials to develop and administer an interscholastic sports program that builds students' basic skills, self-esteem and positive character traits. Responsibilities Include:
Assisting principal in hiring of coaches, Providing orientation and basic training for coaches - expectations and policies of the league and district, Coaches handbook, etc., Attending league meetings, Arranging for officials and supervisors for home contests, Assisting with development of athletic schedules, Assisting with budgeting, Attending and supervising athletic events, Providing parents with information about athletic programs, Monitoring and supporting student athletic eligibility, and Other appropriate duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid Oregon teaching license, Administrative license, First Aid and CPR certification, Previous coaching and playing experience, Strong organizational skills, and/or Ability to work well and communicate successfully with students, staff and parents.
Stipend:
Actual dollar amount varies based on experience and step placement in accordance with the certified bargaining agreement, Extra Duty Salaries.
