Job Description

Superintendent Western Christian School - Oregon Full-Time | 12-Month Contract (July 1 - June 30) Position Summary Western Christian School is seeking a full-time Superintendent to provide executive leadership and operational oversight. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Superintendent ensures alignment with the school's Christ-centered mission while overseeing academics, personnel, finance, development, and strategic planning. Mission Western Christian School equips students for a life of faith and learning by providing a Christ-centered educational experience highlighted by four key distinctions: Academic Excellence Nurturing Community Enrichment Opportunities Peacebuilding & Service Key Responsibilities Governance & Board Relations Collaborate with Board Chair to develop monthly meeting agendas Provide strategic, financial, and operational reports Serve ex-officio on Strategic Planning Committee Leadership & Administration Lead Administrative Leadership Team Oversee faculty and staff hiring, supervision, evaluation, and development Ensure compliance with board policy and state regulations Oversee budgeting and financial planning in partnership with Finance Committee School Culture Maintain a Christ-centered culture aligned with Anabaptist values Promote academic excellence and high behavioral expectations Support balanced chapel programming and spiritual life initiatives Personnel Management Direct hiring processes and maintain job descriptions and contracts Address performance concerns in accordance with board policy Serve as reconciler in staff conflict situations Community & Advancement Foster positive relationships with parents and stakeholders Partner with Director of Development in fundraising and recruitment Represent the school in professional and membership organizations
Qualifications Required:
Master's degree in Educational Administration or related field Administrative credentials as required by Oregon Experience in school leadership Commitment to Christian faith and alignment with school's
Statement of Faith Preferred:
Ed.
