Hld a valid and current Pennsylvania Certificate as a K-12 Principal r Sec ndary Principal. Master's degree with a majr in educatinal leadership, educatinal supervisin, r a related field. Satisfactry wrk rec rd & criminal/child abuse clearances (Acts 34, 114, and 151). Five (5) r mre years experience in public educatin, including secndary and/r elementary schl instructi n. Demnstrated knwledge f the Pennsylvania Department f Educati n Standards Aligned System (SAS) and Resiliency Knwledge f and flexibility in the use f cmputers and sftware prgrams typically used in schl administrati n. Excellent written and ral cmmunicati n skills. Such additinal r alternatives t the abve qualificatins as the Allentwn Bard f Directrs and Superintendent may determine appr priate and acceptable.

Summary Assists the building principal in directing and crdinating educatinal, administrative, and cunseling activities cnsistent with the charge f imprving student achievement by perfrming the fllwing duties as requested by the principal. Essential Duties and Respnsibilities Develps and evaluates the Standards Aligned System (SAS) and Resiliency t ensure cnfrmance with state standards with directin fr m the principal; Develps and crdinates educatinal prgrams thrugh meetings with staff, review f teachers' activities, and issuance f directives with directin fr m the principal; Cnfers with teachers, students, and parents cncerning educatinal and behaviral prblems in sch l; Insures prper placement f students within the verall educatinal pr gram; versees design, and implementatin f prjects and prgrams that will meet the specific needs f students including th se with disabilities; Plans, rganizes, and supervises the implementatin f all sch l activities; Crdinates the design, develpment, implementatin, and evaluatin f curricula with the assistance f apprpriate district facilitatrs and administrat rs; Prvides supervisin and evaluatin t bth prfessinal and supp rt staff; Supervises building discipline, student, faculty, and staff attendance, and class schedules, cumulative recrds, and grade reprting ensuring that all are cnsistent with district plicies and regulati ns; Establishes and maintains relatinships with clleges, cmmunity rganizatins, and ther schls t crdinate educati nal services; Requisitins and allcates supplies, equipment, and instructi nal material as needed; Plans and directs building maintenance; Administers educatinal prgrams f r students with special needs; Reads, analyzes, and interprets prfessinal jurnals, studies f best practices, and federal, state, and lcal regulati ns; Writes reprts, crrespndence, and prcedure manuals and mem randa; Presents infrmatin and respnds t questins frm grups f faculty, supp rt staff, students, parents, and the general public; Supervises extracurricular prgrams and evaluates these pr grams by regular attendance at these events; Cmputes pupil/teacher ratis, percentages, and interprets bar graphs and ther data pertinent t educati nal leadership; Defines prblems, cllects data, establishes facts, and draws valid cnclusi ns; Interprets a variety f technical instructins written r in diagram frm, which deals with abstract and c ncrete variables; Perfrms such ther tasks and assumes such ther respnsibilities as may be assigned r delegated by the principal.
