Part- Time Educational Aide-School-Age Program Child Development Centers, Inc. - 3.2 Erie, PA Job Details Part-time $18 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Paid time off Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description To support children and their families surrounding the school day, we operate our extended care program within 10 partnering elementary schools throughout the Millcreek Township School District (Asbury, Belle Valley, Chestnut Hill, Grandview and Tracy Elementary Schools) and Erie Catholic School System (Our Lady of Peace, Saint George, Saint James, Saint Jude and Saint Luke Schools). The Part-Time Educational Aide plays an important role in creating a positive before-and after-school experience by helping implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage each child's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. They help create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where children can build friendships, explore their interests, and continue learning through play surrounding the regular school day.
Positions available:
Part-time School-Age Assistants:
Millcreek Township School District:
Flexible shifts between 7:00am-9:15am and 3:00pm-5:30pm.
Erie Catholic School System:
Flexible shifts between 6:45am-7:45am and 3:00pm-5:30pm.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Actively supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being. Help to create meaningful, high-quality verbal interactions that support each child's learning and overall experience in our program. . Learn and assist in implementing our program curriculum while ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. Collaborate with fellow staff to provide consistent, engaging and age-appropriate experiences for all children. Learn and use our research-based techniques to effectively assist children with self-regulation and classroom behaviors. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and well-maintained learning environment, including all materials and equipment. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years of experience working directly with children. Superior communication, decision-making, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for long periods throughout the workday with intermittent periods of sitting, walking, and occasional bending, twisting, stooping, reaching and grasping as necessary to carry out essential job duties. Dexterity requirements range from coordinated movements of fingers and hands to simple movements of feet, legs, and torso as necessary to carry out essential job duties.
