Job Description

Capital Area Head Start is seeking Substitutes to join our mission in providing a comprehensive child development program designed to give children a head start in life, empowering parents and strengthening families. If you have the passion and heart to make a difference and uplift communities, Head Start is the place for you! Substitutes support classroom staff in the delivery of quality educational programming, ensuring the safety of children ages 3-5, and assisting with the implementation of daily lesson plans and activities.
Position Details:
$15.68 per hour Casual/Per Diem, Non Exempt position
Schedule:
Hours between 7:30AM and 4:30PM based on center Positions available in Dauphin and Cumberland counties

Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Basic computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook and learn web based systems Ability to travel to home visits, training, and other locations Successful completion of pre-employment process, including Criminal History, Child Abuse and FBI clearances
Preferred Qualifications:
