Post-baccalaureate Pre-Health Advisor Tufts University - 4.1 Medford, MA Job Details Temporary | Full-time $35 - $40 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Experience working with post-secondary students Student mentoring College application guidance Organizational skills Student counseling support Full Job Description Job description: Provides temporary academic advising to students in the GSAS Post-baccalaureate Pre-Health program, with a focus on individualized guidance throughout the program and professional school application process. Advising includes individual and group advising meetings, workshops/programming in coordination with the undergraduate Health Professions Advising team and the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences Dean's Office team, and collaborating with appropriate campus resources as needed to support students' success and well-being.
Qualifications:
Experience advising and/or supporting college students, particularly in the sciences/health professions. Familiarity with medical school application process/timelines, practices, and centralized systems, including linkage programs. Strong communication, organization, and student-service skills. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities/deadlines, and provide responsive support to students and colleagues. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm (35 hours per week). The temporary coverage will last approximately through mid-October, with a possibility for assignment extension.
Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
