QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university; Valid certification as a special education teacher; Demonstrated successful experince in working with special needs students preferred; Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience as a certified special education teacher preferred; Demonstrated skill in leading, motivating, coaching, and collaborating with teachers

SALARY:
$67,640/IA-3 Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Successful experience writing, implementing and evaluating IEP goals and benchmarks. Provide teachers with staff development at all levels in the standards-based IEP process. Provide technical assistance to teachers in working with special education software management to develop
PLAAFPS, IEP
goals and benchmarks. Ability to use multiple techniques for collecting data on IEP goals and benchmarks. Ability to analyze, interpret and report data on IEP goals and benchmarks. Collaborate with the assistant superintendent for educational support services, director of special education, assistant director of special education and program coordinator in the IEP process. Collaborate with the director of special education and the program coordinators in the implementation special education software management systems. Help facilitate recommended changes to programs based on formal and informal program reviews and local, state, and federal guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned by the assistant superintendent of educational support services and the director of instructional services and support.
