This person will be one of the primary representatives of the school, serving as a direct point of contact for families and program participants, and providing administrative support between parents and staff. What You'll Do Answer phone calls and emails, representing TBTS professionally on all calls and correspondence Answer questions from current, new, and prospective students and families Serve as the "first line" of support for simple questions (tuition payments, class schedules, etc.) Communicate school policies as directed Perform basic clerical work as assigned, including processing and accepting payments Staff the front desk during class hours (day and after-school classes, adult classes, and summer programs) Cover the front desk when other part-time school staff are unavailable Keep the front desk stocked with needed supplies Assist school staff with volunteer efforts, events, and performances (may require additional scheduled hours) Handle check-in, pass usage, and payments during adult classes Support closing procedures, including safely checking out students to parents, checking studios/restrooms for lost items, and securing the building Skills Pleasant demeanor with customers, parents, students, and co-workers Administrative experience preferred Experience with ballet or a dance school environment preferred, but not required Ability to protect confidential information and build trust with parents, students, and staff Proactive and able to move projects forward despite obstacles Dynamic, energetic, and socially adept, with demonstrated leadership skills Core knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); familiarity with JackRabbit is a plus, along with willingness to learn new systems
Schedule Average:
16-24 hours per week
August-May:
