Assigned campus(es) Primary Purpose The ARD / Testing Facilitator is responsible for coordination, planning and preparation ofpliance documents for students eligible for Special Education services. The ARD / Testing Facilitator is responsible for chairing, or co-chairing, ARD meetings for the district. This position also implements the campus testing program.
Qualifications:
Qualifications Minimum of three years teaching experience, including experience teaching in a Special Education setting with diverse learning needs; Experience with ESPED and/or otherputer-based documentation system preferred. Campus Testing Experience preferred. 4-8 Generalist, ESL and SPED Certification preferred. Major Responsibilities ARD Facilitation Schedules, or assists in scheduling, Admission, Re, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and notifies parents of the ARD meeting, including distribution of ARD calendar to appropriate ARD Committee members in a timely fashion; ensures that IEP elements arepleted; notifies all appropriate school personnel of ARD meetings/ARD schedule Ensures that federal/state timelines are met with respect to functions of ARD Committee meetings; requests for additional assessments and required timelines set by ARD Monitors ARD paperworkpleted by campus personnel;pletes and turns in ARD paperwork to official audit file within 72 hours of the meeting; turns in PEIMS information to campus registrar within 48 hours of the ARD Completes lists, forms, reports, PEIMS forms, and data required by the Special Education Office by due dates (e.g., transportation forms, EYS forms, October counts, etc). Maintains current state assessment test lists; referral lists, and referrals for related services evaluation; maintainsmunication among assessment, service providers, and related services Provides for systematicmunication among special and general education personnel (with respect to ARD meetings and decisions, IEPs, amodations needed in the general education setting, relevant instructional concerns and progress). Completes applicable ARD supplements with apanying data collected by campus staff (i.e., EYS regression data, all IEPs, BIPs, ). Follows end of year procedures for folder exchanges, summer testing, Assists campus administrator(s) to ensurepliance with mandates for due process guaranteed to students with disabilities by state/federal law; ensurespliance with local policies and procedures outlined for this Maintains thorough documentation regarding any significant problems with ARD Committee procedures; attends Special Education Department staff meetings; attends relevant professional development. Campus Testing Facilitation Deliver training for campus staff to ensure integrity of the testing system and that all procedures are followed. Enforce and monitor procedures for ensuring security and confidentiality of state-mandated testing programs and other assessments. Oversee test implementation at the campus level and monitor testing activities to ensure that procedures are followed and deadlines met. Consult with staff to provide appropriate testing amodations for Limited English Proficient (LEP) students and students receiving special services. Identify, investigate, and address testing irregularities. Report discrepancies to district staff. Develop and distribute statistical studies, analysis and evaluation reports as required for the campus. Monitor districtwide procedures for record keeping, reporting, and inventory to ensure integrity of testing process and data. Ensure all materials and data are submitted within established timelines. Track and monitor location of test materials throughout the distribution, return, and storage process. Compile, maintain, file, and secure all reports, records, and other required documents. •Other duties as assigned. Special Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of all applicable federal, state, local laws, and guidelines and procedures. Experience in adapting and implementing curriculum to meet individual learning and behavioral needs. Knowledge about instructional materials, technology, and state evaluation methods. Skill inmunicating effectively with others. Skill in working withputer tools, including but not limited to, , internet, word processing and spreadsheets. Skill in working in collaborative team-based environments. Skill in working with and presenting to diverse populations of students, parents, andmunity members. Ability to exercise good judgment in decision making, especially in difficult circumstances. Supervisory Responsibilities None Working Conditions (Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Demands): Prolonged use ofputer; must be able to push, pull, lift, and/or carry at least 30 lbs; frequent in-district travel; integrating into different school environments; transporting laptopputer from location to location.
Salary Range:
$51,531 to $74,155 Annualized fisd.us/page/benefits
