00 per hour Preferred Student Classification Sophomore or Junior Nature & Purpose of Position The Internship Office within the College of Criminal Justice is seeking a dedicated student worker to support our team. In this role, you will report directly to the Director of CJ Internships & Career Services and the Administrative Associate. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a student interested in gaining hands-on experience in a professional office setting. Other Requirements for the Position Key Responsibilities Provide general office support, including answering phones and directing inquiries. Run errands and assist staff with various tasks as needed. Help maintain office calendars and scheduling. Update and manage databases. Assist with projects and other duties assigned by the professional staff. Assist with student recruitment initiatives by serving as a welcoming presence in the office, engaging with prospective students, providing information about program offerings, and supporting outreach and promotional activities. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when working with sensitive information. Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Availability to work during regular office hours Availability to assist with career fairs, student outreach events, and other occasional program activities throughout the academic year. Qualifications Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment. Interest in learning more about the internship office and career services. Enthusiasm for growing professionally while studying at Sam Houston State University.
