Rochelle School is a PreK-12 1A school in central Texas (a 10-minute drive from Brady, Texas). Our total enrollment is around 170 students annually. We are a small rural school built on traditional country values. This positiones with very inexpensive housing with many utilities included. Our students perform very well on state assessments and in extracurricular activities. Rochelle ISD uses an innovative 4-day workweek model; teachers and students have off all Fridays with the exception of the first Friday each month! Rochelle ISD is the only school in Region 15 that has applied for and has been approved to receive Teacher Incentive Allotment performance funding that recognizes the efforts of effective, master teachers.

Description/Notes:

Rochelle ISD is accepting applications for the position of Athletic Director. This candidate will oversee, manage, and guide the athletic program at the Rochelle ISD (from helping guide elementary PE coaches to helping support high school assistant coaches and all student-athletics to supporting our youth sports program and parent volunteers). In addition to serving as coach in both junior high and high school athletics, the candidate will teach two history classes (history certification preferred); the remaining class periods outside of the two athletic periods and two teaching periods are to be used to support the athletic program overall. Very inexpensive housinges with the position and is available.

Qualifications:

Experience as an Athletic Director Preferred Experience working within an Athletic Program Required Social Studies Certification Preferred

Salary Range:

Multiple stipends are associated with the position based upon coaching responsibilities taken. Our district salary schedule ispetitive and includespetitive stipends. Our district is also received approval for our Teacher Incentive Allotment plan from TEA which rewards teachers financially for their efforts in the classroom. District housing (at an affordable rate) is available for this position. Aside from the opportunity to receive stipends, the district pays $225 toward insurance, offers $500 for 20+ year veteran teachers, the possibility of a distinction Christmas Bonus, air-medical family coverage, and an inexpensive school employee daycare.
