Job Description
Work collaboratively with all stakeholders in providing a world-class education. Responsible for the administration of the school in the absence of the principal. Assist in planning and carrying out student programs of instruction, curriculum revision and implementation, and preparation of written reports. Support the principal with performance management and the evaluation of personnel. Monitoring staffing needs across teams. Assist in the planning and implementation of building in-service programs, and faculty meetings. Maintain the school's adherence to VAISEF accreditation standards. Responsible for studying students' outcomes relative to the mission, goals, and objectives of the program, implementing the outcome study, and summarizing the results. Responsible for using the Summary Outcome data in the school's improvement plan, and making sure this information is available for dissemination. Be a member of VAISEF's committee. Responsible for participating in VAISEF's required activities. Responsible for participating in VAISEF's semi-annual conferences. Responsible for the success of student programs. Collaborate with Educational and Behavior Lead's ability to support instructional assistants and senior instructional assistants' delivery of service. Evaluate, develop, and implement services for students educational programming and behavior interventions. Responsible for task delegation to Educational Leads and Behavioral Leads, as applicable and appropriate. Responsible for reviewing and providing corrective feedback to Educational Leads and Behavioral Leads' written products. Assist in evaluating and supervising the Educational Leads and Behavioral Leads' performance. Responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with different stakeholders, such as parents, Behavioral Leads, Educational Leads, senior Instructional Assistants, Instructional Assistants, SLPs, OTs, PTs, and LEAs. Responsible for conflict resolution between different stakeholders. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of all curriculum materials. Responsible for consulting with teaching staff regarding location and appropriateness of specific materials. Produce written products free from error. Track daily data using daily collection program. Develop and maintain behavior plans. Oversees and reviews research when research projects are being conducted. Work within IEP administrative process to ensure essential deadlines are met. Work collaboratively with others, such as parents, OTs, SLPs, BCaBAs, BCBAs, and LEAs. Onboard new students enrolling in the Aurora school, including conducting assessments as appropriate, and developing a new IEP and BIP.
