Job Description

Administrator Description:
To administer the day-to-day center operations, HR, curriculum, and ensure compliance with all state and county regulations for Little Friends of Jesus Child Care Center. The administrator will promote and ensure the mission of the center as a Christian education ministry of Zion Lutheran Church. This position will supervise and audit employees including teachers, cooks, janitors, and office support staff. This position may be expected to work hours as a teacher with the children to ensure proper care is provided in a safe and clean environment. This position requires annual training and CPR certification.
Duties:
Audit and supervise the management of personnel and student files through Brightwheel. Complete background checks and manage new employee paperwork and training courses. Complete necessary health safety and licensing checks and reports for the state and Youngstar and post required documents at the center. Record all food program receipts and paperwork monthly and apply for reimbursements through CCAFP Prepare and maintain annual budget for the center through Excel- to be approved by the church council. Collect and deposit payments, balance bank statements and record all transactions on reconciliation and Brightwheel expense tracking. Issue checks using Quick books, verifying wages, benefits and accruals for employees. Pursue and apply for financial assistance and grants through state, federal and private foundations. Additional duties as required and assigned by Supervisory Board of LFOJ. Administrator Duties Center Duties
  • Teaching at center 10 or < hours per week
  • Monthly Fire Drill and Tornado Drill
  • Fill in for Staff out ill
  • Monthly safety checks of center
  • Monthly sign off on accident/medical log. Interview, Hire and Orientation of new staff.
  • Maintain Indeed Job Site Reconcile Bank Statement
  • Weekly Adjustments to charges
  • Enter check payments into Bright Wheel
  • Create deposit slip
  • NSB deposit Payroll - Biweekly
  • Cut paychecks with Zion Treasurer
  • Pay Liabilities and Bills
  • Pay Concordia Benefits make check to Zion
  • Reconcile bank statement
  • Pay bi-weekly Payroll taxes to Zion Brightwheel
  • Maintain site
  • Answer parent billing questions daily Board Meeting - Monthly
  • Create Agenda
  • Financial Reports
  • Lead Meeting
  • Attend Council meeting and report to Board CACFP State Food Program
  • Monthly Reimbursement claim
  • Yearly Contract
  • Enrollment of Children
  • Yearly October update of child forms
  • Place Weekly food and supply orders Website, Facebook Page
  • Newsletter
  • Advertising staff and childcare openings
  • Pictures Background Checks
  • Fingerprints through Portal
  • Print and place in office folder and staff folders
