Job Title (Student Position) SCAN Programming Assistant Department Student Services Location Sheridan Posting Category Student - Sheridan Desired Start Date 08/25/2026 Hourly Rate (if applicable) $12.00 Hiring Range Full Salary Range Benefits Summary N/A Months Worked Annually Typical Work Schedule This position is for the 2026-2027 academic year. 6 positions available; Based on Class Schedule Position Information Posting Number 20150987P Job Posting Date 04/09/2026 Initial Review Date Open Until Filled Yes Job Summary Sheridan College Activities Network (SCAN) Programmers work together as a cohesive team that oversees the coordination and facilitation of all assigned student events. They make sure the event has everything it needs including and not limited to: seating capacity, sound & lighting, food and drink, prizes, etc. The SCAN team is also responsible for documenting programming debriefing and attendance numbers. The SCAN team will work together to keep the group motivated and assist team members with additional duties as assigned. The SCAN team researches and suggests SCAN events based on the current recommendations from fellow students. The SCAN team consistently updates all social media, tabletop advertisements and chalk board signs. Reports To Education/Qualifications
  • Good Conduct and Academic Standing with the college
  • Sheridan College Student currently enrolled
  • Cumulative GPA is 2.0 or greater Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Excels with Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
  • Will have to work late hours
  • Must be able to lift at least 15 lbs.
