Job Summary To assist in the daily operation of the Sheridan College Mailroom. Individuals must be able to work independently. Reports To Facilities Support Supervisor
Education/Qualifications
- Good Conduct and Academic Standing with the college
- Sheridan College Student currently enrolled
- Cumulative GPA is 2.0 or greater Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work well with others as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Creative and the ability to propose and initiate new ideas.
- Ability to accept critical feedback and integrate suggestions into ideas.
- The ability to prioritize activities and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, and Microsoft Excel.
- The ability to understand the importance of confidentiality and to serve as an ethical role model for others.
- Strong interest in helping students connect with the college Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Ability to resolve conflict situations and make decisions
- Work independently and with others and willingness to learn.

Responsibility/Duty - Sort in-coming mail
- Process out-going mail
- Determine best method for sending outgoing mail
- Assist in tracking certified, registered, and insured mail
- Be visible and available to answer questions, telephone calls, and emails
- Reconcile all college deliveries with purchase orders
- Basic cash handling
- Other duties as assigned.
