Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in subjects such as literacy, math, and physical education. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a conducive learning environment. Assess student progress through standardized testing and provide individualized support through tutoring and mentoring. Integrate learning technology into lessons to enhance student engagement and understanding. Foster relationships with students by understanding childhood development principles and applying behavior management strategies. Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum development and early intervention strategies for students requiring additional support. Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities. Provide library services support to enhance literacy education among students. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices, including Montessori methods. Experience Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably in elementary education. Background in early childhood education or special education is highly desirable. Familiarity with teaching methodologies related to working with students on the autism spectrum is a plus. Experience in childcare settings or private school environments is advantageous. Strong writing skills for lesson planning and communication purposes are essential. Demonstrated ability in mentoring peers or students, showcasing leadership within the classroom setting. Classroom experience that includes behavior management techniques and effective communication skills.
